Question: Who is your favorite author and why?

Harper Lee, author of To Kill A Mockingbird, is my favourite writer. I love how she so completely inhabits Scout's mind and slowly unfolds to us the prejudice and politics at play in a small town, all as seen through a child's innocent, all-seeing and yet uncomprehending eyes. Beautifully written, a book that the more I re-read, the more I learn from.
