Question: What is your greatest difficulty when writing fiction, and how do you overcome it?
Writing memorable characters, or ones that the reader cares about and stays with, is the most difficult for me. I try to focus on a character who can ingratiate him or herself to you, make you wonder what'll happen next. Likable characters can be hard to create. This is why it takes special skill to begin a series, instead of a stand-alone novel. How do you know if your MC can last more than one book?
