Question: What is the best writing tip you've ever heard?

I only take writing advice from people that I see having critical or commercial success in the industry. While I'm still working hard to achieve even greater results in both of those categories, the best writing advice I've heard repeated by most authors is to sit down and write. It might seem obvious, but most writers spend their time thinking about their work--or telling others about what they're going to write. But the work doesn't get done unless you sit down and write it (unless you write standing up).
