Deadline: December 31, 2018


  1. We host a new contest on the 1st of every month. Newsletter subscribers may enter as soon as the challenge is up (but they must be already subscribed at the beginning of the month). Other entrants must wait until the 16th of the same month.

  2. You may only send one entry for each contest. Make it your best.

  3. You may, however, enter in new contests even if you've previously won a contest.

  4. All entries must follow the contest prompt. Unrelated entries will be disqualified.

  5. There are no limitations on entry length. It can be as short or as long as you wish to make it. We've had winners who wrote three sentences and winners who wrote full stories.

  6. For every challenge, the winner is announced on the 16th of the following month. The winner will be contacted by email and announced publicly here, along with their entry.

  7. If you win a contest, your winning entry will be published on our website, though you still have non-exclusive rights to publish it elsewhere as well. If you don't win, you retain all rights to your entry.
